Hello Molanis,

I am having a great deal of fun using your Indicator Builder for MT4! :D
However, I am having a little difficulty in translating a formula from one language into a Molanis formula. The formula is:

ZigZag Oscillator Formula
ZZO = 100 * (CL - BASE) / BASE
Where BASE is the price of the base (start) of the current leg of the Zig Zag indicator.

The URL link for the raw formula is here:
http://www.linnsoft.com/tour/techind/zigosc.htm

I know it is something very simple that either I am not seeing or have not done.
Any help you can provide would be of great assistance. :) ;)

Happy New Year to you all at Molanis!
davetherave.

That one is a difficult to program indicator. You should start by understanding how to get signals form zizzag first. Try that first - if you have issues send us an email - I want to write a post about that and never seem to find the time.

Hi "Admin,"

Thank you for the reply. If I understand the Molanis formulas correctly, then the following should work:

ZigZag Oscillator (Molanis formula) = 100 * (Close[i+1] - Open[i]) / Open[i]

Obviously I will have to select the necessary "Seperate Window" and "Histogram" functions et al.

Can you confirm this works because my 10 day evaluation has expired - I do have a LIVE FXCM MT4 account which will be funded before the end of this calender month.

Thank you for your time.
Dave.

That is a normal oscilator. You need to use a zigzag.
