Can the CloseBy function be used in an EA to close a trade with an ECN broker? |

Sure. ECNs only have restrictions when opening the trade (you need to send the order and after execution you add the stops) |

When I have tried to close a trade from the Trade window, there is no CloseBy option. See attached screenshots.

The name of the screenshots did not show in these screenshots. The top screenshot is for a standard account. Same broker but the lower screenshot is for an ECN account and there is no CloseBy option. |

Maybe I got confussed. I was saying that in the strategy builder you can use the close icons CL and CS to close positions with ecns. But you are asking about a mt4 option. What is closeby? Maybe is a button that a broker implemented for its platform so it is not available in other platforms. |
