Here a short update on the upgrade:

To start the upgrade, our developers will work in new icons:

ALERT: To create custom alerts
CANDLESTICK-PATTERNS: Bringing some of the most common candlestick patters
EA SIGNAL-BUILDER (Will only be available for Pro versions) - Using a new technology never seen before. This will take the strategy builder to a new level.
PRINT: To print info to logs or to the screen
MQL+: To give more options to those users that want to include their own MQL code.

And will improve some old icons:
MQL: To include access to existing MQL functions
Pending icons: To include other types of pending options.

In Version 3.2 we want to add another difference between Pro and Standard versions. Currently the only difference is that a Standard version does not show the code. For v3.2 we will create the EA Signals Builder icon that will not be available in the Standard version. This icon will be using the new technology used in the Forex Signals Wizard. For current Standard users we will be giving a 50% discount if they want to upgrade to a Pro version (EDITED JUNE 12 2013: THIS PROMO ALREADY EXPIRED).

The new features do not stop there, we have a complete list of new feature that will be posted after launching the new icons.

Forex Signals Wizard, our product to create signals and alerts for mt4, is being redesigned. We will use a new technology never seen before that will create a great product.

EA Signal Builder will be on beta in a couple of weeks - it is only available in Pro versions

The EA Signal Builder is a new icon that uses the latest technology of visual coding so you can create your trading signals visually. It has two main panels:
-The bar panel, where you create signals based on bars and indicators
-The line panel, where you create signals based on indicators.
The save and open icons allow users to save their signals in files so they can share them later.

It is really simple to use, just add bars and indicator lines and create your signals. In a trading diagram use it the same way you use a TA or TA+ icon. Check the attached images for a quick preview.


The signal below can be read as:
-A bullish bar is forming after two bearish bars
-There is a moving average crossover
-Momentum decreased and now it is increasing

As you can see in the images, the options will allow you to build powerful signals.
There are more options using the right click mouse. There you can set up the bars for specific currency and timeframe which is recommended for multi currency multi timeframe eas.

In the code generation option, one can define how the bar comparison, line comparison, and bar-line comparison takes place. Imaging a signal that has two indicator lines and two bars (a bullish and then a bearish bar), use the code generation option to define :
-if you use the default options the signal will be "there is a a bullish and then a bearish bar"
-if you want to compare the 2 bars (by price or by size), you need to tell the signal builder compare bar 0 and bar 1, in this way the signal becomes "there is a a bullish and then a bearish bar and "... and conditions that do the price or size comparison among bars.
-You can tell the builder to compare indicator lines in the same bar, and many other options
-You can even see the code and delete the code that you do not want

The beta contains the first release of the EA Signal Builder icon.

Before installing the beta make sure you have a working copy of the strategy builder. You will install the beta on top of the existing strategy builder.

To install the beta unzip the file in the EXISTING strategy builder directory. The beta files are : molanisSB32.jar and DebugBeta.bat

To run it click on molanisSB32.jar or in DebugBeta.bat

I have installed the beta, but the Pending Icons are exactly the same? They have no other options?

We have not included any other feature in the beta. The list we published is on the make.

This weekend we will release the new MQL+ icon
The MQL+ icon is an icon for the experts users that want to add their own custom mql code to the strategy builder.
The main difference between the MQL and the MQL+ icon can be seen in the picture below. The MQL icon is used to design logic that triggers trades so it needs to be used with another icon that executes the trades. The MQL+ icon can be used for anything. It is a stand alone icon for users to add complete blocks of MQL code.

This week we finished improving the EA Signal Builder icon. We added the most important features:
1 Color Markers
2 Advanced edition for Signals and Lines (Indicators)

1. Color Markers: We realized that the easiest way to define what to compare in a chart is just adding markers - color markers. Users can select a color, mark a point (a price and indicator), and mark a second (or more points); and the EA Signal Builder will generate code that compare the marked points. We will create some video tutorials in the future to explain in detail how this feature works. For now you can see some screenshots below. This feature is already done. We are doing extensive testing and will release it as a new beta soon.

2. Advanced edition for Signals and Lines (Indicators)
Let's start with Advanced Edition for lines. Wouldn't be great to be able to add an indicator line and say this line will be equal to (Close + Open) / 2 .. or any other math expression. Now the lines in the EA Signal Builder can be extended to support complex equations. Users can now click on the Advance button to get a new equation editor. Some screenshots are attached.

The Strategy Builder already has logic operators - the AND and OR icons. The advanced edition for signals is a new way to work with logical operators which was created to be used with the EA Signal Builder icon. Some screenshot are attached.
