((HIGH + LOW + CLOSE ) / 3) + (0.382 * (HIGH-LOW))

I cannot replicate the copy / paste issue. It works fine on my end. Please post that signal file - click on the save option and save the signal as a file. Then post or paste it here.

As per the pivot line. You need to start working from the middle of the equation and then build the rest.
See image. The xml file contains the signal for the EA Signal Builder icon
