Hi

How do I change the expert advisor email alert text (and visual alert text) that comes up when a trade is triggered?

The text is extremely long and does not even give the details of the relevant pair when the alert box is on screen.

If you have a pro version just do a search in the code for alert and you will see the code. You can change it there. We will release in a couple of weeks a new alert icon that allows to create your custom message.
