I have an EA that has made more than 100 trades perfectly but today it missed a trade and there was no evidence in the experts or journal tabs in the MT4 terminal.

It trades RSI when a candle closes and the new opens on a 1M chart. When i was watching the seconds on the server time count it froze at 15:32:57 (just 3 seconds away from opening a trade) and then suddenly a new candle at the time 15:33:07 worth 20 pips (eur/usd) appeared. Within 10 seconds the price had fluctuated up and down about 40 pips.

I have read other threads which say that too many ea's can cause it and I do have 3 quite simple EA's running . But i thought there would be some sort of error message. Could I have been disconnected from the server whilst the trading signal was supposed to go off without it showing on the journal/expert tab.

This situation doesnt happen that often but I'd still like the EA to work when it does.

Is there anyway to prevent this? Has anybody else experienced this?

It may be a spike on the broker side. The ea needs to get a tick to run, if there is a gap there is no tick so maybe the ea was not executed.
