Is it possible to use custom indicators in the alert generator? I can find no way to incorporate them. All I want is an alert when the indicator appears on the MT4 screen. Indicator attached.

In a TA icon look for custom indicators and click import

Found the import, thanks.
Have created a simple EA to Alert when MA crosses. Hoped that the alert window would id the pair but all I get is "Current Symbol". How can I make it specify the proper pair?

If I can get this working correctly would like to upgrade to Strategy Builder and attempt an EA that enters a market trade when activated and exits the current position when this crossover takes place. Is this possible for the SB?

If in the TA icons you use current symbol, it will work for any pair but the alert will show symbol. In the TA select the desired pair - You can have several TAs, each one getting the alert from a different pair
You can create cross overs with the strategy builder. Try looking at some examples here:
